THE dramatic shipwreck of the Kursk warns us that nuclear war has begun. Moscow blames NATO, claiming that the submarine was a victim of a collision with its American counterpart of the Los Angeles class. Against all the evidence, London and Washington shamelessly deny that one of their submarines could have crossed the Barents Sea on 12 August, the day when the incident occurred. Behind this war of official statements lurks war pure and simple. It now turns out that an American submarine, the Memphis, made a routine stop, «scheduled two months beforehand», at Bergen in Norway, between 18 and 26 August, although it is claimed that no signs of damage were observed on it. Moreover, the Northern Fleet Commander, Admiral Vyacheslav Popov, has revealed that the distress signals recorded by the Russians shortly after the accident were emitted by a foreign submarine: «The Kursk does not have such a transmitter», he explained (Le Figaro, 22 November 2000). It is no less apparent that a US Navy spy ship, named the Loyal, was in the area at the time hoping to record the slightest sound emitted by Russian vessels during their naval exercises, using a submerged “flute”, several kilometres long, provided with hundreds of hydrophones. Therefore, NATO is lying. Even if the Memphis did not suffer any damage, that does not mean its involvement can be discounted. Indeed, even a minor collision with the Kursk may well have been enough to explode one of the bubble torpedoes’ propellant-booster engines, and the firing of just such a torpedo was detected. Now the Americans knew this. Not only did they pick up this signal, but they also knew the secrets of this new weapon, which uses a bubble effect to reduce water resistance and to cut through water at 400 km per hour, pulverizing all the records set by American torpedoes. One of their spies had passed this information to them. Edmund Pope, a former American Navy intelligence officer who had transformed himself into a “businessman”, was found guilty, without any mitigating circumstances, of having procured top secret defence information about a Russian torpedo of the latest generation. In Moscow, on Wednesday 6 December, he was condemned to twenty years of harsh imprisonment, as requested by the prosecutor in his closing speech. In other words, the Russians do not regard themselves as vanquished. They took their initial revenge on 12 October, when a “collision” with a “Zodiac” (!) stuffed with explosives took out of service the US Cole, a guided-missile destroyer and the jewel of the US Navy, in the port of Aden. After that, they kept up their vigilance. On 9 November, they successfully simulated an air “attack” against an American aircraft carrier, the Kitty Hawk, in the Sea of Japan. Succeeding in foiling American radar, the SU 24 reconnaissance planes, escorted by SU 27 fighters, were able to approach the warship without sounding the alarm, and they took photographs of it from every angle before the American fighter planes were even able to take off: «The appearance of our planes was a total surprise for the Americans», declared General Anatoly Kornukov, Commander-in-Chief of the Air Force. «It is quite obvious from our photographs that there was a panic on the bridge, and it was only after we had flown by a second time that they were able to get their planes into the air. «There was no air incident», he made clear. «Our crews carried out this reconnaissance mission in full respect for international agreements», declared General Anatoly Nogovitsyn, Commander of the 11th Air Force in the Far East. «We acted in an open manner.» Does the General want us to understand that not everyone can claim as much? In a little poem full of violence and passion, Ezekiel announces that «a sword, a sword has been sharpened and polished. Sharpened for slaughter, polished to flash like lightning… polished only to be wielded, sharpened and polished to fit the killer’s hand.» (Ez 21.14-16). At that time, the “killer” was Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, the rod of God’s anger to punish His faithless people. The Kursk was called the «killer of aircraft carriers»... The oracle of Yahweh has therefore lost none of its topicality. Because the ministers of the Lord think nothing of the urgent requests of His divine Mother entreating them to consecrate Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, and because they scornfully refuse to recommend the reparatory devotion of the First Saturdays, «the heavenly punishment is imminent», as Sister Lucy said to Fuentes Father in December 1957. Forty years later, the «heavenly punishment» has still not fallen. Can it be said that God has forgotten? No. God does not forget. And what He says, He does. But the Third Secret reveals that we were given a respite by «the splendour that Our Lady radiated with Her right hand» towards the flaming sword of the Angel of Judgement. Sister Lucy disclosed something of this to Father Fuentes: «As we might say in our imperfect manner of speaking, He offers us with a certain trepidation the last means of salvation: His Most Holy Mother. For if we scorn and repulse this ultimate means, we will not have any more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin which the Gospel calls the sin against the Holy Spirit.» In the face of this sin, there is no longer any forgiveness, because it «consists in openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent, the salvation that is offered us». The proliferation of nuclear weapons is poised to set the world on fire. Over the next ten years, the cities of Europe will be within range of ballistic missiles launched from areas of conflict that are already well known to us, the Middle East, the Indian sub-continent and the Far East. Faced with this terrifying day of reckoning, our only recourse is to the Immaculate. Once again She offers us a covenant with Her, a new covenant as it were, the daughter of the eternal covenant sealed forever in the Precious Blood of the Lamb, Her Divine Son, and in the indefectible faith of His Spouse-Church, the true daughter of Abraham and the legitimate holder of the promises that were made to him. It is the thread of this Sacred History that we wish once again to set before souls of goodwill, before the second millennium concludes and a new phase commences. For, by grace and without any merit on our part, we are witnesses to this unequal treaty in which little is required of the creature and much promised, provided however that she is faithful to her Saviour and devoted to the Mediatrix of this agreement, assiduous in satisfying all Their demands and loyal in Their service. The requests are minimal! and in exchange for this we will be rewarded with peace on earth and glory in Heaven. |
