He will return with his immense heart, with his heart of fire, his poor man's soul
and his smile. He will return! And the Immaculate Heart of Mary will triumph!

OUR Father has always taught us that the Church will be saved by Herself. That remains his deep conviction as well as ours. This is why he confidently waits for the hour of triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. He never stops exhorting us to take courage and to hold firm with patience and steadfastness, since, as he assures us: « the resurrection will not be proportional to the events that will have preceded it. It will arrive when God so desires, even if everything points in the opposite direction. »

To strengthen that hope, our friends came in great numbers to the Maison Saint Joseph, on 1 and 2 February. In the conference on Sunday, 2 February, Brother Bruno brought to our minds the warnings which our Father had given on 30 January, 1970, four years after the end of the Council, during an after dinner debate at which he had been the guest of honour:

« Since her Reformation, the Church herself has been more active than anyone in dissolving human beliefs and institutions. When the sacral character of the Catholic rites is denied, then all other cults will appear superstitious or profane. The collapse of the Mass will cast a fatal blow at Protestant worship and when we no longer respect our own sanctuaries we shall still be taking off our slippers to enter the mosques, but it will be in order to take photographs! » (CCR no 1, February 1970, p. 6)

He could not have done better in announcing, thirty years in advance, that the pope, John Paul II, would be photographed in the mosque of Damascus!

In 1970, the most lucid minds saw civilisation falling into anarchy. It was foreseeable from 1965: « If it is true, according to our faith, that God who speaks and who blesses his people is there, there is nothing to be expected from a reform which outrages Him, » by turning away from Him to « turn towards man », as Paul VI had proclaimed in his discourse at the end of the council, on 7 December, 1965.

Before the Council, « the Church was self-confident because of Her confidence in God. So she was a blessing for the world. » Our Father gave an example, which since then has been borne out. « Her transcendental morality, more loved than feared, sustained other moralities, particularly that secular morality which was the pride and the strength of the third Republic and its primary school teachers! »

But ever since our children were handed over to catechism courses that water down faith and morals, daily life in a secular college is hell. Today, it is a fact admitted by everyone! Now, our Father announced it, thirty years ago as the inevitable result of the principles laid down at the Council.

It is the anarchy of the clerics which is « the main reason of the anarchy that appears elsewhere. The army, the university would be entitled to blame it on priests: “By what right did you undermine all authority, all discipline, at the same time as your own?” »

But also families: « Our moral standards are no longer taken into account when a parallel magisterium promotes openly its campaigns in favour of the pill, the marriage of priests, freedom of religion, divorce, and I say nothing about the worst [“the worst” is now the subject of daily newspaper articles not just in Boston and Los Angeles]. I read this morning a letter published in La Croix that says: if priests could break the contract which irrevocably unites them to God, the most perfect Friend whom one can choose, how much more so should the Church be accommodating for disappointed and unhappy couples! »

Well! This is what She has just done, no later than yesterday, when John Paul II said: « I wish to reiterate my spiritual proximity with separated, divorced, and remarried persons », declared the Pope to a delegation of Équipes Notre-Dame!

But now that the Pope no longer preaches the Crusade, the deadly madness of terrorism is unchecked. Our Father foresaw this thirty years ago: « In this universal wreckage, what will subsist? The worst fanaticisms, whose only force is to be without reason and without order. » With the Council, « the perfectly empty benefit of a passing popularity was immediately compensated for by the ruin of the Church herself. »

And as a result, the world has lost it axis: « Stat Crux dum volvitur orbis. The world rotates but the Cross remains standing, immobile. We know all to well that if the Cross has remained standing and immobile, for two thousand years, it is because the rock on which it is planted is called Peter! » A beautiful profession of faith on the part of the Abbé de Nantes, « a suspended priest ». He still professes it today, thirty years later, while at the same moment Pope John Paul II declared on Wednesday, 22 January 2003, that he was willing to call into question his powers in order to promote the reunification of Christian churches. This is logical since the Roman Catholic Church no longer claims to be of a different nature than any other human group. She considers herself to be one religion among others.

« Without concern for Her moral obligations, the Church, which headed the world community, embarked on another type of "animation", more about culture than about cult, humanist rather than religious, democratic rather than hierarchical: it is the portent of disasters for the world », which are today’s reality: the Church is dying and the world is on the road to ruin.
